it would be cool, but then you'd have to decide whether that should be an "only premium thing" or, should everyone have it.

we've discussed this before, and decided it wouldn't be the best idea. it could mess up the threads the post is in

I don't think that it's a good idea. People need to be mindful of the thoughts that they post, since they are pretty much perminant.
It's good reflection to look back at thoughts you've had in the past and learn from them, or reminisce of some good times and good friends.
Just never regret things that you've said or done. They make up who you are, and should be embraced.

I agree with everybody.

Actually, we have talked about this before, several times.

There are logic problems involved in letting people delete their own board posts. You say something, I reply. You delete your post, my post is left out there hanging. Plus, these things are numbered, so when you delete a post, you change the numbering.

I've said elsewhere that we should, however, be able to close topics we started. So, if I posted a topic that said that Lanna should be banned from the zone and then Lanna and I became big buds, I could, at least, keep people from adding to that topic, but it would be there for everyone to see until the world ends or the zone goes away, which ever comes first.

I like the idea of closing a topic you started, but basically, even though I have said some regrettable things on here, I agree with everyone else about not being able to delete our own posts.

Hey, don't feel bad about the suggestion.

Apparently others thought it was a good suggestion as it has been suggested several times.

I suspect that all good ideas start with a wish, and you expressed a wish.

Of course, if j-squared would adopt my idea about being able to close a topic you started, you could do that and not be bothered by it again.

Guess I'm going to have to consult my blind lawyer brother to get this idea considered. I'd sure hate to sue the zone. <lol>

i wish that this could be implamented as well because i have said some stuff on here that people highly disagree on. i wish i could close my own topics because i am done dealing with one.

I partly agree that we should be able to delete our own discussions. But I really think the only full discussions that should be allowed to be deleted, are those in Garage Sale. That would be good because those are more temporary things like someone may have been selling something and either changed her/his mind, or they may have already completed the sale. The same with if someone was looking to get/buy something. But for topics in other catagories, I don't think we should be able to delete them because they are an exchange of ideas by that person and other people, and it just wouldn't be right to just start a discussion, decide you don't like where it's going, and delete it. With the Garage Sale Boards, they're not the same since the person is just looking to get rid of or find something, and most of the time the rest of the transaction will take place outside of that discussion.

Maybe not delete your posts in a topic someone else started but say you start a topic and it isn't answered or what ever, you should be able to delete your own board topics. there is odviously a difference between that and board posts. I think we should be able to delete board topics that we posted that have less than say 10 posts or something like that. if you close a topic, people could still read that and what would be the point of reading a topic that is closed, I don't see a point.

this would not be a good idea.
